EUROPEAN EXPANSION WELCOMED

Andrew Duff, Lib Dem Euro MP for the East of England welcomed this week the forthcoming expansion of the European Union. "In January 2004, we will not only be welcoming Malta and Cyprus, but also former communist countries, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia and the Baltic States. 12 years after the fall of communism, it is great to see these countries rejoining the european mainstream"
