* Liberal Democrats have welcomed the end of the French ban on British Beef. Pressure from the European Union has forced the French Government to back down. "Without the European Union, British beef could still be banned in France and other European countries", said local Euro-MP/local campaigner XY. "This news will be a very welcome boost to British farmers still recovering from the Foot & Mouth outbreak."
