* The High Court has intervened to protect the rights of British Citizens to bring as much alcohol and tobacco back from trips to the continent as they like. Because the UK is part of the European Union, we are allowed to bring back drinks and cigarettes without having to pay any tax or duty. But Customs Officers have been trying to stop people bringing back large quantities for their own use. Local Lib Dem Euro-MP/local campaigner said "Being part of the EU makes moving around Europe much easier. I’m glad that the High Court has intervened to protect our rights as European Citizens."
