* Air passengers will benefit from safer flights and reduced delays thanks to the European Parliament. Lib Dem Euro-MPs have voted through measures to create a 'single European sky'. Local MEP/local campaigner said "For too long air traffic control has been run on the basis of national political borders – a system which encourages bottlenecks and delays in air traffic and which simply does not make sense. Thousands of holidaymakers stand to benefit from these measures in the years to come."
